Jordan is the greatest player in history, combining talent and accomplishments. LeBron’s 2nd.
But in terms of pure talent, LeBron is the best basketball player ever. If I needed someone who could do nearly anything on the court at an absurdly-high level, my first choice would be Bron.
I’ve come to find that all diminishing of Lebron comes from the “goat” argument. Some people think he’ll never surpass MJ while others think he already has. Those fans will forever be at odds.
lots of people arguing and hating nowadays while i am here sitting knowing that i get to watch, bron, brady, messi ronaldo, federer, nadal, djokovic, serena, phelps, bolt, and many others that are considered goats / mount rushmore candidates in their craft. and those are only the sports i follow. plenty of others i dont know or forgot to mention. we are blessed with historically great talent and I know humans are getting better and better but i am not sure if I am going to see another generation at this level in my lifetime.
EDIT: i am learning a lot of new names of great athletes and yeah i forgot Tiger and Hamilton who i both know of course.
Especially football (soccer) and tennis. We got to witness the golden generation of these sports, it will be a while before we see so much talent in such a short period of time.
Lived up to the hype and he\'s never gotten into serious trouble for anything. You\'d think after being famous since 16 that it\'d go to his head and he\'d do something really stupid legally, but its never happened.
The man has played 51,500 regular season minutes, and is still playing great basketball. He\'s gone from hero to villain back to hero back to villain, and he isn\'t finished yet.

God help him man. He had to play in the era of social media as well with ridiculously high expectations. I’m surprised there wasn’t more “scandals” about Lebron. I’m glad most of his controversies are simply about him being the LeGM.

LeBron is basically the ultimate Jack-Of-All-Trades player in NBA history, capable of doing pretty much everything at an excellent level. His greatest ability is his transcendent mind of the game, which lets him maximize all of his other abilities. He\'s shown that photographic memory plenty of times, with memorizing other team\'s plays, anticipating calls or drives, etc;
And he\'s so good that even near his 40\'s people are looking for any cracks in the armor they can pounce on to undersell his entire career. He\'s single-handedly crushed so many other teams\' title aspirations, whether or not he won the title that year. I think he truly started becoming the best player in the league after his 2011 loss where he wet the bed.
After that, he was pretty much always clutch and kicked it into a higher gear. It\'s hard for me to understand why so many people are eager to call him overrated or diminish his championships, especially older players that seem convinced he would just be another guy in their era. Easily the greatest player I\'ve seen play in my lifetime.
I wouldn\'t classify him as a \"Jack\", since that implies he\'s a master of none. King-of-lots-of-trades would be more apt and on brand for him; most of which you\'ve covered.
I think thats kind of true though, like he isn\'t the GOAT of one specific area of basketball, but he is in the conversation for all of them, and still GOAT tier overall. He is the best passer amongst elite scorers, and the best scorer amongst elite passers, but he is not considered the best at either one. Most versatile player of all time for sure.

Personally I think he is the greatest athletic specimen of all time. 6 9, huge jump, crazy strong, never injured. It\'s between him and wilt, but the mythology surrounding wilt seems a bit hyperbolic to me.
